Caractéristiques d'une bonne situation-problème
Une bonne situation-problème possède les caractéristiques suivantes:
- Pertinence: aux objectifs poursuivis, aux concepts et aux habiletés à acquérir;
- Sens: présentée dans un contexte qui soit signifiant, près du vécu des étudiants;
- Motivation: suscite l'intérêt et le goût de s'investir;
- Complexité: admet plusieurs solutions; informations à rassembler, à analyser, ... ;
- Richesse: permet l'utilisation de plusieurs stratégies cognitives ou styles d'apprentissage, permet de traiter et d'intégrer divers aspects ;
- Synthèse: permet de cerner une tâche à accomplir, un but à atteindre un ou problème à résoudre;
- Défi: présente un défi à la hauteur des étudiants;
- Adaptation: n'est pas trop difficile ni trop facile;
- Facilité sur le plan de la documentation: accessibilité des ressources.
